In Trace and Veil, I delve into the hidden beauty of decay and transformation. These paintings, inspired by the textures found in rusted and corroded surfaces, embrace the unique colour palette and patina that only time can create. There’s a quiet magic in the way rusted surfaces hold the story of passing years, with layers forming, fading and evolving.

Each piece invites viewers to explore the beauty within these imperfections. With layered textures and subtle tones, Trace and Veil both reveal and conceal – much like the surfaces that inspired them, they are as much about the spaces left uncovered as the ones richly adorned with patina.
