New Year, New Studio

For a while now I’ve been struggling with the space that my garden studio offers and while working so close to home has been convenient days and days can pass without me seeing another creative soul.

So late last year I began my hunt for a new studio which could become my artistic home. After viewing a few possibilities I chose to take a studio at The Art House in Wakefield and this weekend saw me making the move into my new space.

The Art House is home to over 50 artists, makers and creative businesses and audiences are invited to engage with the creative process through a rich programme of residencies, exhibitions, events, workshops, and professional development opportunities

In addition, there is also an Italian coffee shop (Laura the owner makes a great cup of coffee and amazing authentic pastries!) and a shop which stocks the studio holders work.

So after an exhausting weekend of moving the entire contents of my old workplace over to my new studio, I’m ready to begin working in my new space. I’m really excited about having the opportunity now to showcase my work within my studio and look forward to welcoming visitors and showing them around.

If you are interested to see more of my work and arrange a studio visit, please get in touch.
