Last weekend I delivered two of my paintings to the Civic Hall at Holmfirth, West Yorkshire to be exhibited as part of the Holmfirth Artweek 2017 which runs from Sunday 2nd July to Saturday 8th July.
The artweek is one of the UK’s Largest Open Art Exhibitions, Featuring over 400 exhibitors and over 2,000 artworks, plus dozens of fringe venues across the local area with thousands more works of art and craft.
It is a local event with a national reputation. The majority of the exhibitors are from the Yorkshire area but large numbers of visitors come from all over the country to view and to buy. It is astounding how much artistic talent there is locally and it is this that makes the event such a success every year.
For this year’s exhibition, I have submitted two paintings ” Wintertide” and “Lost at Sea”. Both paintings will be for sale at £175 each with 25% of this going to Macmillan Cancer Support.
**UPDATE** I’m pleased to report that both of my paintings sold at this event.
